Marilyn Dorsa has spent her entire life involved in the arts. As a youth she was a successful professional singer in California radio and television. Later she studied fine art and became an award winning professional painter and jewelry designer. She has also owned a chain of retail gift boutiques since 1973. She and her husband are world travelers and spend a great deal of time in Italy.

It was because of her love of Venetian glass that, in recent years, she devised new and interesting ways to design Venetian glass jewelry. Her designs are fashion forward with an eye to comfort and color. Her philosophy is to create jewelry that is glamorous enough to take pride in, but not a burden to take traveling.

Mrs. Dorsa is a philanthropist and patron of the arts in Northern California as well as a Commissioner to Florence, Italy representing the
Santa Clara Valley. She and her husband, Frank, own an estate vineyard that produces an award winning Bordeaux blend wine La Rusticana d’Orsa in the Santa Cruz appellation.

She considers her life a blessing and sends her love with each piece she designs.

Each piece of jewelry is fashioned by hand in California with Venetian glass beads, 14k gold, Indonesian vermeil and sterling silver
findings with semi-precious stones. The Venetian beads are created on the island of Murano, Venice, Italy. They are handmade over an open flame with 24k
gold and .925 sterling silver foils. Because of the nature of the process, each piece is just a little different and one of a kind. Wear them alone or
stacked and mixed with other jewelry.
